Description

The Compaq NC3121 Fast Ethernet NIC can be remotely powered up from a sleep
state during non-work hours. Because no one has to be physically present for
power-up, this Wake on LAN (WOL) feature enables businesses to quickly and
efficiently update drivers and software, conduct hardware and software
audits, and perform other management tasks without interrupting PC users
during work hours.
The Fast Ethernet NIC also provides standard SNMP MIB support, as well as
SmartStart support for Compaq server installation. Network activity can be
monitored remotely with Compaq's CNMS network management software, Compaq
Insight Manager1, or any SNMP-compliant management software. LEDs indicate
link and network activity for at-a-glance troubleshooting.
